Kakiseni.com is an excellent site for arts and culture listings and reviews. "kaki" means "lover of", and "seni" means "arts", and this site has great round up of what's happening on the KL arts scene. You can also subscribe to their weekly e-letter.

Klue.com.my started Sept 2001, and is now a bi-weekly full colour hip magazine - with listings for arts, theatre, dance, clubs, raves, restaurants etc. Really good for finding out what is going on in the Klang Valley (to the uninitiated, Klang Valley is KL plus the area around KL - ie Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya etc)

As many of you know, the Golden Screen Cinemas in MidValley Megamall screen numerous internationally acclaimed foreign films. Other options for foreign cinema classics, both old and new, are the Goethe Institut Kuala Lumpur, Kelab Seni Filem Malaysia and Alliance Francaise.

For those interested in dance, music and theatre, try the Sutra Dance Theatre, the Actors Studio or Academy Industri Musik Malaysia - AIMM.

Readers will enjoy the large selection of locally published short stories, books and novels by Silverfish Books.

Three museum and gallery sites worth taking a look at are the National Art Gallery, Islamic Art Museum and the National Museum to find out what exhibitions currently taking place.

Nature enthusiasts will enjoy the wide array of activities sponsored by the Malaysian Nature Society

Interknowledge.com/malaysia is a travel/tourism site, but has some good articles on Malaysia- its people and culture.

Magickriver has lots of information about the Malaysian Orang Asli and other tribes of the rainforest.

Badan Warisan is Malaysia's cultural built heritage organisation. Good site to find out about their campaigns to save buildings and kampongs in Malaysia, and links to UNESCO and World Heritage Sites.
